F.A.Cup 2nd Qualifying Replay
Old Kingstonians 0-1 Redhill (HT: 0-1)

REDHILL WIN RESUMED REPLAY

The F.A.Cup re-play between the Old Kingstonians and Redhill was begun afresh on the Norbiton Sports Ground on Wednesday afternoon, when Redhill won by the only goal of the match. Neither side was strongly represented, and the O.K.'s sufferered especially by reason of the absence of several regular players, the half-back line being entirely new, while two of the trio (Othen and Garrett) had not played at all previously during the season.

No score was recorded until close upon half-time. Then, as the result of a smart centre from Stevens, C. Wakeman, with an oblique shot, placed the ball into a corner of the net. Immediately afterwards Stokes had hard lines in attempting to equalise, his shot being diverted at the expense of a corner. From the kick, the ball was headed just over the bar. After the interval, Thayers made further efforts to equalise for the O.K.'s, but Rose kept his goal admirably, and remained undefeated, although the home team did much more aggressive work than their opponents. The latter's backs baulked the O.K. forwards frequently by kicking out.

Old Kingstonians.- Little; Mobsby and Blanchard; Othen, Bowry and Garrett, Mansey, Stokes, Thayers, Chalk and Wilson.
Redhill.- Rose; Webb and Mann; Davis, Lawrence and Rogerson; Wilkinson, C. Wakeman, Maxted, A. Wakeman and Stevens.
Referee, Mr J.W. Hyde.

FOOTBALL.
F.A. Cup: Defeat of Old Kingstonians by Redhill.

The third meeting between Old Kingstonians and Redhill in the second round of the F.A. Cup qualifying competition took place at Norbiton on Wednesday, Redhill willing by a goal (scored just before the interval) to love.
At Redhill there had been a draw, 2-2, and last Saturday the re-play at Norbiton was abandoned 10 minutes short of the proper time, Redhill (very late in arriving) leading by 2-1. It should be stated that the O.K.'s team on Wednesday was very much below strength, and it was only after the start that eleven players could be collected.

REDHILL WIN THE RE-PLAYED TIE.

The third meeting between the above clubs in the second qualifying competition took place at Norbiton on Wednesday in unfavourable weather. The home side was much below strength and Redhill had to take the field without the services of Wicken, Ward and Troughton. It was just on three o'clock when the teams kicked of in the presence of a mere handful of spectators.

The home side were nearly one down in the first minute, and Redhill's attack was maintained for some time, the O.K.'s being quite at sea. Soon after the start rain fell and steadily increased throughout the afternoon. An improvement was noticeable in the O.K.'s attack, but the visitors' defence was very reliable, Webb and Mann being a most serviceable pair of backs.

Five minutes before the interval a smart attack by Redhill left C. Wakeman with an opening and he promptly scored. During the second half the Old Kingstonlans never looked like getting on terms, the visitors being markedly superior in attack and defence. A sodden ball militated against much shooting at goal, and Rose had little to do until the last few minutes, when a despairing effort by O.K.'s gave him a few shots. There was no addition to the scoring, and by 1-0 Redhill qualified to meet Guildford on Saturday. Referee: Mr. J. W. Hird.
