Reports on Old Kingstonians Annual General Meeting held on 28th May 1914.

OLD KINGSTONIANS' F.C.
Increasing Prosperity Disclosed at Annual Meeting.
Much enthusiasm and complete unanimity marked the proceedings at the annual general meeting of the Old Kingstonians F.C. held at the Three Tuns hotel, Kingston on Thursday evening., the president, Mr. D. Judd, being in the chair. There was a very large attendance.

The Chairman, in commenting on the report, drew attention to the fact that the club had created a record for the county by winning the Surrey Senior Cup, Surrey Charity Shield and Southern Suburban League Championship in one season. (Applause.) He was exceedingly proud of that, and he had no words sufficiently to praise the loyalty of the players, one of whom, E. Tickner had played in every match, whilst T.P. Sheehy and H. Gibson had missed only one each, and H. Mansey two. (Applause.) Thirty-eight matches were played, 33 being won, one drawn and only four lost, the goals scored being 116 to 32.

Mr. G. Batson, the hon. treasurer, said he was very glad to present a balance sheet which showed receipts amounting to £356 14s. 10d., with a sum in the bank of £15 3s 6d., and what he regarded as most important was that there were no outstanding accounts . He wished to emphasise that from matches played on the ground alone they had forwarded to the Surrey F.A charity fund £54 5s. 11d. - (applause) - the actual receipts being £58 7s. 2d. In the discharge of his duties he had been very greatly helped by the executive and much appreciated their action.

The report and balance sheet having been adopted, Mr. D. Judd was re-elected president with acclamation, and he refered to the manner in which everyone connected with the club had worked for its welfare during the past season. In an especial manner his thanks were due to the ground committee.

Other re-elections, all accompanied by complimentary references were:- Hon. treasurer, Mr. G. Batson; hon. sec. and assistant secretary, Messrs. C. Brockwell and T. Wiggins; 2nd XI. Secretary, Mr. W. Wiggins; auditors, Messrs. H. Lewis and W.P. Brine; delegate to the Surrey F.A., Mr. J. Hallett.
Mr. A. E. Palmer said businesss would prevent his continuing the captaincy, and he was heartedly thanked for his past services, Mr. H. W. Daniells being appointed as his successor. Mr. T.P. Sheehy was elected vice-captain, succeeding Mr. A. W. Little. The election of a captain and vice-captain for the second XI. was deferred. Messrs. Barrett, Hallett, Collins, Bamford and Othen were elected on the committee.

Other business was transacted, and the secretary was asked to send a letter of condolence to Mr. H. Mansey on the death of his father. It was stated that the annual dinner would be held on June 10. The club has been exempted from the qualifying competition in the F.A. Amateur Cup next season.
