KINGSTON " A " TEAM FOR NEXT SEASON. The adjourned annual meeting of the Kingston Football Club was held on Friday evening last week, when, we are informed, Mr. J. W. Whitecross was re-elected president, and the following officers were also elected: Hon Secretary, Mr. A. North; hon. assistant secretary, Mr. H. Wagner; hon. tresurer, Mr. A. Read; hon. team and athletic secretary, Mr. E. G. Readwin; committee, Messrs. F. W. Pavey, H. Lynn, H. Hill, C. Skinner, W. E. Stone, Saunders, W. Brown, A. Bowry, W. Cooper and Barnes. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. H. Wagner and Mr. A. P. Powell for their services as hon. secretary and hon. treasurer respectively during the past year. After some discussion, the meeting arrived at the decision not to run an A team in the coming season. This will cause considerable surprise in view of the fact that at the previous meeting it was agreed to enter the A team for various competitions. As already announced in our columns, the club have been admitted to membership of the premier division of the London League. See report in original format. |
