Report on cancellation of Kingston-On-Thames Reserves match scheduled for 19th January 1895 against Chertsey from Middlesex & Surrey Express dated 26 January 1895.

There is another second string which is guilty of very serious disloyalty to its parent Club! I refer to the Kingston-on-Thames Reserves. Presumably that good sportsman, Mr. Secretary Lloyd, has got tired of paying members' train-fares out of his own pocket, and no wonder! So, on Saturday afternoon less than half-a-dozen members of the second eleven turned up at Surbiton Station en route for Chertsey! Needless to say the journey was not made and Chertsey deprived of their game. These are the kind of fellows to keep a Club on its legs! I note that the next ten matches are at home, a fact which rather aggravates Saturday's offence.
