Commentary on Annual General Meeting and change of name from Surrey Comet dated 26th April 1890

At the annual general meeting of the Saxons (Association) Football Club, held on Friday night, last week, the report presented of the doings of the past season was not so good as could have been wished, as the first eleven had been defeated seven times in sixteen matches, eight being won, and one drawn, while the second team had won but one out of fifteen matches, six being drawn and eight lost. On the proposition of the hon. sec., Mr. W. G. Carn, it was decided to alter the name of the club to that of "Kingston Wanderers F.C."
