SAXONS (A Team) V SURBITON ROVERS (a).-
Played at Grove-lane on Saturday, and won by the Saxons by one goal to nil. The Saxons pressed throughout and had hard lines in not scoring more. Saxons' team:- F. Chinnery (goal), R. J. Sivers, J. Bicknell (backs), J. G. Peck, P. Marsh, E. Sayers (halves), J. Kemp, G. W. Jones (left), W. Wroth (centre), W. Ocock, and G. E. Bayton (right forwards). The Secretary writes: "Unfortunately the game was made most unpleasant by the quarrelsome behaviour of some of the Rovers, who evidently cannot take a beating with that good humour which is so much needed in football."

Played at Grove-lane Kingston, on Saturday, and won by the Saxons, who had much the best of the play, especially during the latter half, by one goal (scored by Jones) to nil.

Bayton (right), forwards. The Saxons committee have decided to cancel their other engagements with the Rovers, on account of unpleasantness in the field
